After arriving the day before, we leave our "hotel" in Lansing for the drive to Betsie River Campsite to meet up with our friends and camping party for a week of fun. One thing I noticed last year was the wind farms on the drive. Some say they are ugly, but I think they have a certain beauty to them. Also, if we can harness that energy along with solar, I think that is better for us and our environment. What? Want me to step down from my soap box?

We reach the campsite and join the camping already in progress.
The decision is made to go to a drive-in movie that night. A double feature in fact. I have not been to a drive-in that I can remember, though I am sure my parents took me when I was very young. We make our way to The Cherry Bowl to watch Maleficent and Transformers: Age of Extinction. As it turns out, this facility is celebrating it's 60th year of operation.
Being in Michigan, the sun does not set early. We had to wait quite a while for the first movie to start. We did not even make it to the second feature of the night. Instead, back to camp to wind down and get some rest.
